Exciting new opportunity in our Youth Justice Mentoring Service

 

 KDYS Youth Justice Mentoring Service is supported by investment from the Dormant Accounts Disbursement Scheme, through the Department of Justice to support young people and parents in communities to deliver positive outcomes for young people and their families. Trained volunteers will work with young people and parents to improve well-being, reduce offending behaviour, improve family relations and build coping skills

 Kerry Diocesan Youth Service (KDYS) is a community-based youth work organisation committed to serving all young people in a safe, fun and positive environment, through the provision of youth spaces, services, mentoring, training and ongoing opportunities for their holistic development.

 

Applications are invited for:

Youth Justice Parent Mentor Worker

Kerry based, Part time (17.5 hours per week) contract up until 31st December 2024

 26 days annual leave pro rata – Paid sick leave scheme – Flexible working

 

The successful candidate will

  • Provide volunteer support, training development and delivery of the programme in line with programme objectives.
  • To establish a parent mentoring service to support the current young person mentoring services.
