KDYS Killorglin Neighbourhood Youth Project
The Neighbourhood Youth Project (NYP) is a community based service. The aim is to support young people aged 12 – 18 years and their families in the Killorglin area. The NYP team works with young people, families and the community in overcoming issues while liasing closely with other agencies.
The project’s activities aim to equip young people to fully participate in their communities. The staff encourage the young person to make positive choices resulting in better mental and physical health. They help with access to education, training and job opportunities. By encourage the young person to be active citizens in a society where they are supported to make important transitions in their lives .
The support services are staff led and focus on getting young people on a pathway towards a brighter future.
