Our UBU-Your Place Your Space Programme currently has vacancies across the county
UBU – Your Place Your Space project is a KDYS managed service funded under the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) through Kerry Education & Training Board (KETB)
The service identifies, recruits and engages targeted young people aged 10 to 24 years of age in the designated area. The project aims to provide young person centred out of school supports to young people in their local communities to enable them to overcome adverse circumstances and achieve their full potential by strengthening their personal and social competencies.
Kerry Diocesan Youth Service (KDYS) is a community-based youth work organisation committed to serving all young people in a safe, fun and positive environment, through the provision of youth spaces, services, mentoring, training and ongoing opportunities for their holistic development, and by advocating for their needs.

UBU Project Workers

Post A: KDYS Tralee – Full time (35 hours per week), 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Post B: KDYS Castleisland – Full time (35 hours per week) Specified Purpose Contract linked to Maternity Leave

Post C: KDYS Killarney – Part time (14 hours per week) Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2024
26 days annual leave pro rata – Paid sick leave scheme – Flexible working
The successful candidate will work with prescribed, targeted young people in the designated areas to develop and deliver youth work programmes and supports.
