We have developed facilities across Kerry to provide safe, inclusive, drug and alcohol free, welcoming spaces where young people can avail of a range of services and activities to meet their needs.
For many young people, the youth centre in their local town is a space where they can “hang out” in the Youth Café with their friends, attend “Band Nights” or use the rehearsal space if they are budding musicians. Young people engage in positive activities that support and develop their personal, social, mental, physical and emotional well-being. Each KDYS centre also provides a range of specialised services supporting young people and their families at times when young people might be experiencing particular difficulties.
We rely on fundraising and support from parents, councils and others to maintain quality youth facilities that are attractive to young people.
