The successful candidate will manage and develop KDYS Killarney as a sustainable social enterprise providing a service to the young people of Kerry and our national and European partners. The role will focus on the overall management of the facility, with an initial specific focus on the development of our 47-bed accommodation enterprise
One year Fixed Term Contract – 35 hours per week

Our Killarney centre is Ireland’s first ever youth centre to be awarded the Council of Europe’s Quality Label for European Youth Centres. We are part of a European network of centres whose aim it is to serve the youth sector and young people. Our centres operate as a social enterprise within the Kerry Diocesan Youth Service (KDYS) network of projects. KDYS is a community-based youth work organisation committed to serving all young people in a safe, fun, and positive environment, through the provision of youth spaces, services, mentoring, training and ongoing opportunities for their holistic development.

- A relevant qualification in hospitality management, business administration, community development or relevant field is desirable
- Minimum 1 years’ relevant experience is desirable
- Knowledge of the voluntary & community sector
- Experience/Knowledge of Social Enterprise
- People Management experience is an advantage
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
