KDYS Education and Training

Providing the highest level of education and training is a priority right across the entire organisation.
For volunteers and staff it means ongoing training to ensure we are equipped to meet the ever changing needs
of young people.
For young people it may be in a formal setting through our mentor programme or one of our 4 Youthreach
programmes run in partnership with Kerry ETB or it may happen informally throughout all our programmes where
young people are encouraged to learn new skills and meet their full development potential.

YouthReach is a Department of Education and Skills official education, training and work experience programme for early school leavers aged 15 – 20. It offers young people the opportunity to identify options within adult life, and provides them with opportunities to acquire certification. As it operates on a full-time, year-round basis, Youthreach has a continuous intake policy.
